NIZUC RESORT & SPA

Nizuc Resort & Spa has figured it out! Nizuc, which is a Mayan word translated as “dog nose”, is the name use to define this breathe taking resort located at the end of Cancun, between the Caribbean Sea and Nichupte lagoon. From the moment I stepped foot into the hotel, I was pampered with excellence. Everything from the thoughtful design of the property filled with natural lighting to mixed textures, high ceilings and reflecting pool. Everything is carefully placed for a truly serene experience! Anyone who can appreciate good design aesthetic will be blown away. It has a very laid back, calming and sophisticated vibe.

Amongst the turquoise waters, this resort offers black mosaic pools, kids club, convention halls and tennis courts. The resort also offers six onsite high-end restaurants lead by internationally renowned chefs, a incredibly friendly staff, and led by French Executive Chef Vincent Wallez.  I definitely recommend stopping by the Ramona restaurant, which is a contemporary twist on traditional Mexican cuisine. With a view almost as good as the food, this spot is a great choice for a romantic dinner. For those looking to grab a beverage at after dinner, the resort offers three unique and modern bars.

One of the most impressive attractions at the resort is the spa. It is designed for ultimate relaxation.  From spa basics, a steam room (which includes an amazing body scrub), sauna, massages to the beautiful pool you can spend the whole day rejuvenating. They also offer an ice fountain, and the ESPA spa program which is one of the most impressive spas in town. Nizuc’s hydrotherapy is a must as well as their Mayan-inspired treatments. They have tailor-made massages for both men and women, which they only use 100% natural oils that are based on each guests’ sensory experience.

The ESPA facials are also tailored to your specific skin type using high tech analysis. They do everything from exfoliations, steaming, variety of masks, and finish with top of the line skincare products. The level of detail that put into your treatments really enhance the whole experience. The cacao and restorative oils they use, along with the warm oil slowly drizzled on your forehead, is the most relaxing treatment you can have! I loved everything about my spa experience!

After my stay at the Nizuc Resort & Spa, I have to say, it is the ideal place to soak in Cancun’s tranquility.

I wanted to share some photos of the resort as well as my outfits during my time at Nizuc!
