Soft Summer

Cool-leaning and beautifully muted.

Soft Summer is the most muted of the cool seasons — cool-neutral undertone, medium depth, and low chroma. This is the season most often mistyped, because muted colouring reads as 'nothing obvious', and the answer is usually that your best colours are the quiet ones.

Lips in muted berry, soft mauve or a greyed rose — bright reds and clear pinks will look painted on. Eyes in taupe, soft plum and greyed brown. Skip black liner entirely.
